Weighing Myself Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Weighing Myself

Weighing myself

Ordered and paid for her.
-did I do as good man?
-or did I have plan?
-lust and hope?
-to date and?
-and see her down the line?
-more and more for my lust?

I, never
-no never
-fell or fall
-for fear of
-mullahs…

Their hell and their heaven are for them
-they can have and shove them!

But Tolstoy
-his Sergey
-the Father

-must I say?

That puts me in scale
-not for you or others
-for me, just for myself
-only for poor conscious.

Was I good? Human?
-or did I have plan?
-lust and hope?
-to date her?

Inside me race questions
-fight, wrestle the devil
-with pure duty, in myself…

Was I good? Human?
-or did I have plan?
-to have her…?
