Weight Of The World Poem by Falling Awake

Weight Of The World

I attempt my ascent,
but a constant resistance
to my movements
is forcing me back,
knocking me off center.

Dizzy,
my sticky soles
are hard to lift,
dragging as my
intentions surpass
the rest of me.

It seems gravity
increased its force,
With shoulders sinking,
every piece of flesh
hangs noticeable,
And heavy.
