Weighting In Lockdown Poem by Phil Soar

Weighting In Lockdown

Chocolate bars
Coffee in cars
Curry in a hurry
Trying not to worry
How the weight that's increasing
Shows no signs of ceasing
And your neighbours guffaws
When you hang out your drawers
Is a sign that you're fat
Has just doubled, like that
Out will come the boots
And you'll throw away suits
No longer the fashion
Too fat for much passion
And if lockdown continues
You'll have stretched all your sinews
Take your foot off the throttle
And put down that bottle
Because an increase in size
Might add to your demise!
