Welcome Back Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Welcome Back

Scarab of the queen’s inquisition
Searched like a burning fire
Streets are cleaned for the coronation
Beckoned by loyal loneliness
She is the parade of fear
No confidence in the blind mirror
I stare at her with deep compassion
I know where her soul hides
She needs to know I love her
The rain has stopped
The flowers bloom
Oceans kiss gardens
Take the knife from your heart
Self inflicted prisons are the worst
It is so good to see you smile again
Welcome Back
