I created this fantasy world
carefully clouding the pages
with dust of fallen stars,
imaging you here,
the brightest light in the midnight sky

I invented a place where the moon never slept,
where all the diamonds in the universe
shined in your eyes,
setting fire to the horizon
of my ever-burning dreams

I dreamt in green fields of longing,
my heart, so young and passionate,
I warmed in the glow of a faultless sun
where songs, so beautifully written,
were whispered just for me

My heart swelled with possibilities
as I sipped the fragrant wine of delusion,
each season blurring around me in symphony,
a sweet harmony to my thirsting ears
and my heart thundered a love song for all times

I nurtured the claims of the fickle flame,
cautiously feeding the unquenchable need
with wanton whispers and sweet innuendo,
enticing the exquisite sparks
to come dance in the ever-raging fire

I created this fantasy world,
in the magic of a single moment,
in a place, where my eyes met yours,
and I imaged you here,
the brightest light in my midnight sky

A rush, a force to be reckoned with,
a reckless, breathless, brewing storm
that burned, and yearned, and whispered,
just for me…
