Welcoming The Wild Man Within Poem by Kiran Pillai

Welcoming The Wild Man Within

Rating: 4.8

The more I grow, the more wild I be.
Wildness is the only thing that matters now.
No tamed being. No training as well.
Just wild. That is all that I can be now.

How wild can a wild man be?
Wildness does not mean I am violent.
It does not mean I am a doormat either.
Wildness, it is emerging and no stopping.

I am becoming a wild man, the more I grow.
All majesty to the wild being, who looks inside.
What arises in the heart is all that matters.
Make space for the wild man who comes now.

"Wild man" - the term itself produces memory
Of images I saw on TV. That is not true
I am a wild man of the 21st century.
The one who is "educated and cultured" too.

The wild man emerges within me now.
It is only innocence that matters to me now.
The wild one is innocent one. Honour inner nature
I know human nature is all that I bother about today.

The wild one is not scared of death. He fights too.
The nature is all available to the wild one.
It is a matter of acceptance more than anything else.
A surrender to nature, nothing more. Nothing less.

The wild man emerges now. He is not bothered.
Even death is welcome with open heart. That is wild
Let the wilderness grow within. The rebel is born
Let the revolt be. The wild man now kicks the cage.

I can see the cages that surround me today.
The cage that always produced things for me.
Safety and insurance from the cage is not for me.
I am just wild. Let me be in the wilderness.

The wild man is born now. Forget everything else.
The wild man has no security. It is all too subtle.
An open welcome to the nature that is within.
Let the wild one live. Let the wild one walk.
