Well? Poem by Martin O'Neill

Well?

Rating: 5.0

My mind squats
Inscrutable
A Japanese Toad.
Ugly, immovable, obstinate.
Narrow eyes,
Eyeing me,
Daring me
To challenge.
Fight and whine and
Cry-baby complain,
'Not fair! '
No, I am bigger,
Dignified and
Patient.
The poetry,
Will return.
Violence
Remains
An option.

Amusing and refined Martin.. That you should relate to a toad (one of my connective beings too :) Obstinate narrowing eyes... Ahh the mistrust of us in we :) I think this is a fantastic piece.. Violence remains an option he he he... Karen

Good one - guess the old grey matter does look a bit toad-like! ! But capable of finer things, of course.
