Well Off Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Well Off

No one can change within a short period of time
It's almost impossible
Acknowledging that change comes with time
I was convinced that with the problems, It be best we'd part ways
If you were to inquire about my reason for leaving
The matter is as simple as you think
If I Stayed with the original interest
Assuming that things can only get better would be naive
Besides staying prevents mental freedom
Not allowing you to completely fool me with your story
Earlier on realizing before the situation gotten worse
leave it behind me and move forward with my life
We just had to have an argument
your false accusations of infidelity
was the cause of the breakup
Now you call me up to tell me that you're still in love
I than say I'm over you, Out of anger
You than say you can find another, Now intrigued
Than what you call for, Still it makes no difference
Erased you out my cell phone
Due to lingering feelings that would result in arguments
I'd be better off without you
