My fall was not unshaken
As I fell with ill import,
The cemetery where I was taken
was
A most tortuous transport.
Thank God, by then I was drained
No longer of this world,
My eyes no longer seeing
My toes no longer tingling
My soul inside a-swirl.
Although my body no longer functioned
Somehow I knew what was
could no longer be,
For evermore
Was closed the door;
And even though my carcass
now would ever linger-
My soul would now fly free.
