Wet, windy, night on the pavement,
Lonesomeness with a will,
I walk the streets of San Francisco,
Touring my side of the hill.
All that's ever met with is only this:
A mood of love-and-longing, wistfulness,
And my prize for want, a fitting payment:
A solitary, rainy, hint of bliss.
