Wh Do I Love Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Wh Do I Love

Rating: 5.0

Why Do I Love

In the quietude of night, I ponder deep,
Why do I love, when love is but a leap?
Is it the way the moonlight dances free,
Or the silent whisper of the sycamore tree?

Do I love for the joy that blooms within,
A tender touch, a glance, a cherub's grin?
Is it the solace found in another's eyes,
The shared sorrows, the twin-flamed sighs?

Perhaps I love for love's own sake,
For the fiery trials, the heart's quake.
For in love, we find life's richest vein,
A tapestry woven, not in vain.

I love because it's life's sweetest song,
A melody where all hearts belong.
