What A Night Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

What A Night

What a night

Night is night
-is meant to be comfort
-not for me, not at all
-I dream and then think
-bring them to live on
-as child does with a doll

Came to me my daughter
-and her mom; my ex-wife
-we smiled and had fun
-the old days were around

Everything was great
-when time came for shower
-soap was lost and clothes
-misplaced
- "Where is soap? "
- "That is mine…"

Wow…wow…wow
What a night! ! !

I woke up into dark
-none of that was around
-night was night
-and windbag radio,
-as always, tireless
-talked and talked

Suddenly came time for
-my friend, brother
- "Return of the Michif"
-heard Jesse
-my humble classmate
-in York; then
-both of us were close to Alan
-Bearded Professor
-he taught us of Andes
-of Peru, Bolivia
-of Tupac Amaru
-Cataries,
-both Tomas
-and the La Paz Rebel
-he saw me as copy
-of "Guaman Poma"
-I loved it

And Jesse commented
-and his words turned vessel
-took me in, I went to
-Canada's North and West
-into time of falseness as righteous
-lies, killing and murders
-injustice as justice

As I wrote script and named it:
- "Behanding"
- To be a feature-film

Happily, got drowned
-I swam
-swam on
-ended in Prairies
-then Andes

They are my interests
-have spent life on them
-have piles of the books
-and copies of papers
-for research; researches

Radio wakes me up
-untimely and on time
-it has no intention
-and later…
-with same sound
-came news
-exactly and sharply
-on alarm of clock
-reported the news of Khadr
- "His case won…"
-is great…what a night
-they won since
-good lawyers dedicate! ! !
