What A Waste Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

What A Waste

A cynic noted: 'Youth is wasted on the young.'
The thought being expressed is obvious.
Who of us, fifty years old or older has not watched
children/youth at play, and not thought: 'Too bad
we can't bottle that energy.'
Energy spent having fun is not wasted if it is not
consumed unwisely or excessively. Fun/enjoyment
should be a part of every age. Life is a gift-all of it.
Regardless of how few or how many years one
has lived, each day is a gift from God - a time
for rejoicing and being glad.
Use time and energy wisely - growing older means
realizing that life is what our thoughts make of it.
You are young at any age if you are planning for
a Great Tomorrow.
