What Am I? - Poem by Jeremy Williams

You call me fickle
You call me fake
You think I'm one of these people
Who are always on the make
I don't give
I always take
How is it then that our friendship
Has been strong enough not to break?
Far too selfish
Far too self aware
One thing I have never done
Is show those around me any care
Also shallow
And self-centered
I wouldn't know how
I'm definitely unaware
Hurt others feelings
Think life has no meaning
Please tell me then
If there is even a reason
For us to continue?
