What Are You Holding Onto

Rating: 5.0

What Are You Holding Onto

What are you holding onto
That you're totally dependent on
That keeps you away from turning to God
Not giving your heart a song
You think that you just need it
Your habit has harnessed you in
Satan has a way of deceiving us
When it comes to dealing with sin

We're to love the Lord our God
With all of our heart, our strength, our mind
Tally up your percentage in that regard
See how far you are behind
To shore up you're responsiveness there
You'll need the Lord to do it
Start your prayerlife afresh today
And will yourself to do it

When your habit comes around
To visit you each day
Confess to God your need of Him
And thank Him for the victory
For God is merciful to any soul
That acknowledges their need of Him
Give your old habit a slap on the hand
And your victorious life will begin!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
