What Can I Say About My Love Poem by James Fredenburg

What Can I Say About My Love

Oh what can I say about my love?

Her inner essence is sweet
and cannot be captured by words.

Her soul is like a rare and beautiful bird
singing ancient songs at the break of dawn.

Roses blooming at dusk
on a warm summer night.

Fragrance of a pomegranate tree
in the soft midnight breezes.

Oh what can I say about my love?

She is strong inside like mahogany
healing and soothing like eucalyptus.

She is deeper than the ocean depths
as passionate as a full moon.

Her glance creates ripples
in my soul.

Her words brush the insides
of my heart.

Oh what can I say about my love?

Tell me
what can I say about my love?
