What Can't Be Seen Poem by Lauren Coles

What Can't Be Seen

Jobs are important,
Disabled people don't get a fair chance to speak their minds about work,
A job couch only stays with people for a short period of time,
I need some more help to do the job properly,
Not many people are willing to hire someone who has a disability,
People have to make special arrangements to get a desk that is big enough to accommodate their wheelchair,
That's why I like working for home writing my poems and books,
I can write on my own time with no deadlines.
