What Comes Later Is! Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

What Comes Later Is!

deception rules
rich, sweet confectionary
as always too much

consumed artifice
too often held upon heights
where only few hang

cherry chocolate
"glacéed cape gooseberries" Yes!
is this a bit much?

the ‘riche' and famous
fawn at clever shaper's goods
on shopper's Tuesdays

being led by their
‘profy' dogs on long leashes
as males tote the bags!

rue deception's cloy
‘sweet' ain't about the sugars
What comes later is!

What Comes Later Is!
