What Do You Want? Poem by Vera Sidhwa

What Do You Want?

What Do You Want?

I gave you everything today.
I gave so much yesterday.
You get and get and receive.
Still you want more.

So I gave you less and less.
And I watched you go under.
It's as if you couldn't stand it.
You just had to have it.

You are funny to observe.
You're wanting so much.
But it is when you weren't give anything
That's when you improved as such.
