Everyone says 'what goes up must come down',
but what about balloons floating into the clouds?
What about smoke drifting high 'til it's gone?
Or butterflies, bats, birds: the list keeps going on.
Though some things come down after flying so high,
to everything always, this rule just can't apply.
Adults like to tell us 'good things come to an end',
but this saying really must sometimes bend.
For what do they say about love? : 'it's forever',
and if this is so it can never be severed.
Some good things must end, to be appreciated most,
but for other things forever is the answer held close.
So when others tell you, 'You can't be the best',
say, 'Excuse me, I'd like to put your claim to the test.'
For some things stay up, and others stay always,
because no one can give your life limits or boundaries
