What Goes Around, Come's Around. Poem by Erica Bowden

What Goes Around, Come's Around.

Just taking a walk down the road.
Thinking of how stupid I was to fall for you
When you just left me
Now we're both alone

As I walk down then cold concrete
I notice a girl screaming at her boyfriend
I don't know what it was about,
But know how much that boy was hurting because of her

I was concentrating on the couple so much that I fell over
My rough palms hitting the hard sidewalk
As I screamed I could hear the girl,
louder then I was,
Shouting 'I hate you.'

I swear that I could hear your voice reply
'Whatever, '
As I was getting up and brushing off my tan jacket
I looked over my shoulder

I saw a boy that looked exactly like you
The boy looked at me, then the ground
It took me about 2 minutes to realize that that boy was you
I couldn't breathe.

He dumped me, then got dumped.
I just snickered.
Everyone is right.

What goes around
Does come back around.
