What I Want Poem by RACHEL ZARANTONELLO

What I Want

Rating: 5.0

What is it that I want?
What you can not see.
I can not be controlled.
I just want to be me.
I want someone to listen-not judge
One who makes me laugh and sometimes moan
A best friend. A lover.
A hand within my own.
I want to feel like someone cares
No empty promises not to keep
Who knows when to leave me alone
and when to hold me in my sleep
One who will be honest, not fake
and loves me just for me
Someone who doesn't hide things
Because this is where they want to be
Regardless if it has been a perfect day
Or one that has been far too tough;
All I want at the end of the day... Is to know
that my love for them is ENOUGH
