What is life?
I took him in my car
-drove him all around
-east to west, north to south
-Leslie and Bayview, Mississauga
-to Bathurst and Dupont
Is friend of old times
-a rapist of the heights
-no virgin left behind
-of snows that cried
-when receiving cuts of
-his ski…
Had a lot to catch up
-talked and talked
-talked and talked
-of the years left behind
-of bottle dancing, we
-taking off one by one
-jacket, shirt, to tampons
-of the girls, to be ours
Oh, the days of the wine
-poured in cans, not beer
-in watching Go-Go-Girl
- "Screw Air Force Base! "
Were devils…and
-so, what! ! ! ? ? ?
Has cancer
-wrinkled face
-white is hair
-and the eyes…
Have hidden his tear
-I feel them with no look
- "They cry"
"And so, what? "
-he says but,
-doesn't mean
-it is lie…
"Have cancer and will die! "
-he says and then goes on:
- "I am rich, have two kinds,
-though I take medicine
-doubtlessly will soon die…
-and so, what! ! ! ? ? ? "
I am wave and am rock
-different in and out
Leave floor to him and
-let him talk and he does
"No one lives forever…"
-see through his logic
-trying to fool and
-his effort to convince
-who? He? Me?
"I have changed my name to
-what is fact of being
-no more ‘Mo' but ‘Joe King'
-explains: "…mean Joking"
I know him well, of past
-his phone and email read
-and show him as "Joe King"
-but he means, sends message:
"Living is joke, joking! "
"I have lived as clown…"
-he says and screen
-plays films on my mind
-Charles Chaplin
"…I smile all day long…
-ceiling knows and the walls
-of tears in my nights…"
And, so, what?
