What If Poem by Otieno Okull

What If

WHAT IF
What if essence wasn't really what it was
What if significance wasn't really an entity in itself
What if that considered pure was an impurity on its own
What if there was a lie in every truth, a bend in every line
An inch of bruise in every delight, a stone heart in every cry
What if the earth wasn't 'earth' as its thought
What if humanity was all a sea of imagination
and the creatures and nature were all a creation of the mind
What if, What if....
What if HE didn't exist?
And if HE exists, what if HE who created HIM didn't exist
Fortunately, truth is but a relative understanding,
For that which is true is true to only an extent

Excellent insight, Otieno. What we think we know is only a relative truth
