What Is Best For Me? - Poem by Wendelin Weird
You said you liked me
I in my naive ways believed you
You said you wanted what is best for me
and yet again I thought your words true
We were great friends
It seemed we would become more
But what happened?
Surely you did not think this was best for me!
Leaving my heart, that once beat ever so strongly for you,
reduced to scared and tattered remains
with a staggering pulse
A pulse that threatens to end its struggle
give in and give up
A life without you is what I have to face
Is that whats best for me?
