What Is It To Leave Behind?

When leaves dry they say men die by mouth,
Into consciousness death to their last good-bye
Emptiness of pain, doubting to ever see the same ones again.
And there they gather, around the dead man, for what they call
Good-bye. And there I was on a Sunny long past day,
for my Uncle Marcao.
