What Is Love? Poem by Venus Fire

Love is like a fire that brightens your day
Love is also the rain that ruins your day
It is the joy that everyone seeks
but do not know it's not as it seems

It may light up your life one day
but it also may pour down rain
it seems to be great
but isn't always what you think

In your lifetime, you will feel
the true meaning of love you need
Until that time comes you will heed
the words of the man that was pitied

In my lifetime, as you see
joy was not that of I need
survival in life was the most important
but love came along and ruined my proportions

So listen clear, and listen well
If you want it, then do not dwell
Miss your turn and you shall see
how true love will fail you indeed
