What Jolts Your Mind Poem by The Original Tom Maxwell

The stage is set the band is ready to play & sing,
The concert, you have been waiting for, a positive,
Mind control thing, I remember, the old rock shows,
A day after, your ears would still ring.
The music & lyrics, bring both sides of your brain together,
On a straight line, just like a beam.
The serious left catching, all the lyrics you sing,
The right taking in the fun music, and beat,
Together, inside memories & enjoyment, it brings.
You can hear a song you like, just a couple of times,
Never read the words, whenever you hear the music,
With no thought, you open your mouth and begin to sing.
You may not hear a song, for a year or two, never,
Thinking about it, you hear the first couple of notes play,
You remember all the words, and sing along the same way,
Some say nothing, or no one can control their mind, no way.
