What Melts Snow Poem by Greg Gaul

What Melts Snow

Pick and place cut flowers in the snow
Beauty blooms in this thin frozen crust
Crisp color petals, soft to the touch
Scarlet roses there to lay and glow

Truths that thrill make hearts blush
In early days, don't trust too much
Wintry times won't forever stay
We are all pure as the driven slush

Some say snow gently coats our land
Every flake filled with crystal kindness
Falling from a cooling cobalt sky
This divine dust sprinkled by his hand

Yet in each is a radiant ray
Facing this season with human hope
Flowers in snow won't wilt from fear
Which will warm winter woes far away
