What's Missing? Poem by Macy (Nina) Dvirnak

What's Missing?

There is an ever deepening,
Ever expanding void
In every man's soul
From which he cannot escape.

He therefore attempts
To fill this void with everything
That this world has to offer-

However,
This is a God-shaped void,
And cannot be satisfied
By earthly things.

No!

This starving hole in a man's heart
Can only be filled by God-

And

God Alone.
