What Sum Poem by Alexander Beebe

What Sum

Oh how the oceans spread across earth's angelic land
what sum achieved, drops counted one by one.
Yet count I would to show the truth
my love for you runs deeper.

Oh how the grains of sand canvas earth's angelic frame
what sum achieved if counted one by one.
Yet count I would to show the truth
my love for you is greater still.

Oh how the stars illuminate earth's angelic sky
what sum achieved if counted one by one.
Yet count I would to show the truth
my love for you would eclipse the stars.

Oh how my love for you exudes such might
exceeding water, sand and stars at night.
But yield I must to one so great who made
the earth and heavens light. For His love
can't be counted. Know that you are loved.
