What They Had Stolen Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

What They Had Stolen

What they had stolen
From caves and mines
Deep
With trembling hands
Deep
And pillaging
With sudden fall
Deep into a raging sea
And wrecks it lay
Floating
Listless
Listless floating.
In the punishment of the inert
Tossed-humilated
