What To Expect Poem by Frederick Francis

What To Expect

They will not lose
The reality they face.
What can one expect
We send over men who
Have more to lose then
Their enemy has ever to gain.
An enemy who stands only
To gain fewer enemies.
These people do not fight
Because they are told.
It is for their belief which
They’ve lived since a day old.

If they give up
They can’t just turn around.
The soil for which they bleed
Is their home ground.
We must see we can’t win.
Unless we intend to kill them all
There is no other hand,
Impossible for them to fall…
They have no where to land.
