The fight in it's entirety,
For what I was seeking,
Made me wonder what I was fighting for.
Couldn't I just have waited?
Like presents from Heaven dropped tumbling down to me?
Showing me better ways in multiplicity.
So I embarked on the path, no one would take,
But then I knew of my awakening to make,
A better consumer of life's offers.
Now, I didn't feel compelled to fight,
For all those pretty objects in sight.
For now it was God's plan alongside mine.
Working with his hand holding mine.
That happily got me to my mission,
Of finding what I seeked,
Not fighting for what I seeked.
Then God let go of my childlike hands,
When we both achieved that peaceful plan.
Of much sweeter and thoughtful seeking,
Of foregoing the mindless and aggressive fighting,
Resulting in happy gaining,
Of all the many things I wanted out of life.
