Let me be blunt
Yesterday this was such a beautiful feeling
Today we need to do so much dutiful healing
And that's no stunt!

What you want I cannot give you
What I want you cannot give me
What you can give I don't want
What I can give you don't want

Let me be blunt
What was bountifully positive and would have thrilled
Is a striking feeling that has been sadly rapidly killed!
And that's no stunt!

And the more you drag on and on
Trying to question yourself and justify
Trying to adapt and attempting to modify
Our state of mind will negatively burn and burn
What you want I don't want and what I want you don't want!

So I will not lie
So I will not try
We once said ‘Hi'
Here and now I say ‘Goodbye! '
