Whatever You Keep Poem by Naveed Akram

Whatever You Keep

Whatever you steal from the devil - keep it.

Whatever you own and possess, kill it and decide
The ruination of your trusted object.

This life has a fate so possess it by every means,
Your fate is your fate, so keep it!

My thieves are numerous, but never do I take another
Man's soul without laughter, so the devil has
Spoken and talked and whispered.

Whatever your intelligence - dream it!

It is the soul of philosophy to question a learned man
When his thrust is a subject of knowledge and wisdom.

Let a supper be wasted once the liar is contained,
I have to listen to you more often
As you speak so sensibly, my faithful friend.
