When Poem by Raymond Simmons

When

When the world fills with confusion
And tries to shift the blame to you,
You discard foolish illusions,
Because you're good at what you do.

You pardon mass deficiency,
And see that your values are met
With strong and sound consistency
You rise above the fear and sweat.

When you have mastered foolish thoughts,
You win and lose with equal grace.
When truth and golden rules are sought,
Integrity will be embraced.

When lies and rumors betray you,
Falsehoods and slander gain no ground.
When righteous deeds are what you do,
Prevailing truth is always found.

When you risk everything you're worth,
For Grave loss or for great advance.
When you believe in your rebirth,
Then you will stand a second chance.

When you are released from the spell,
That occupies the time you spend,
The mind that darkness tightly held,
Breaks free when joy becomes a friend.

When you rise up to start again
After firm defeat in your prime,
When you believe that you can win,
It matters not that you're behind.

When you have vanquished your dark side,
When you resolve your toughest test,
When honesty and bliss collide,
Such magic is called happiness.

When you forgive the grave mistakes
Of those who don't deserve as much,
This effort that you choose to make
Conveys the magic of love's touch.

When all self-doubt vacates the flesh.
And you're the same with crowds and kings,
When humble hearts and egos mesh,
You know the best of everything.
