When A Poet Loves Poem by Pen Anthony

When A Poet Loves

When a poet loves
It's a flame
Big and hungry
It's a desert
Vast and thirsty

When a poet loves
It's a forest
Big and thick
A poet's heart
Is an ocean

When they love
They give and give
For they have plenty
When a poet loves
He/she immortalises

When a poet loves
Their love is like
A stream selfishly
Giving the lake
Hoping the same a favour
Will be reciprocated.
