When A Woman Feels Betrayed Poem by Mel Russell

When A Woman Feels Betrayed

Rating: 5.0

In a dream like sense,
Feel asleep
The screams in my head have grown intense
And my heart weeps.

You've tore me down for the last time,
I'm done playing into your games.
You were never mine
I was just some hot young dame.

'There is no problem, YOU are the problem.' that man said.
I'm not the enemy you made me out to be.
After all of the scars that once bled,
It's time to focus on me.

I'm tired of feeling like I don't matter
I'm sick of this nightmare you put me in.
You want my respect? Earn it, flatter me.
I'm important in the end.
