When Angels Came Poem by Fergal Dunne

When Angels Came

All the clocks on the wall,
Couldn't forecast when angels would call.
And as night turned into day,
They came and gently took you away.

If only this moment could rewind.
I would put the sadness behind.
From those angels I would borrow.
There's time enough for a thousand tomorrows.

Each night I gaze at this African sky,
In awe of its beauty I wonder why.
But as stars light my pondering face,
I know with angels you are safe.
