When Autumn Comes (Sonnet #11) Poem by Tina Baaklini

When Autumn Comes (Sonnet #11)

When autumn comes to rip me from my spark
To paint lines with its brush throughout my face
And gray circles under my eyes, dull, dark
My inner light would still shine: love, hope, faith

Underneath my crepey skin lies my heart
Rich in green gardens, sunlight and blue seas
Hearts get no wrinkles, souls remain intact
True love dwells deep where life never ceases

Thus flows our love, sweet soulmate, in our soul
You tenderly water my heart with love
With love I breathe you, with love I'm your all
What exists between us will not be dissolved

For God united our hearts endlessly
And the Will of God lasts eternally
