When Dead Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

When Dead

When dead

When dead and in heaven
-roamed around to observe
-canvas of what had heard
-of trees, singing birds
-beauty and curves of the rivers
-and the leaves being the instruments
-music overt and pleasant,
-enjoying the laughter
-around me, the angels
-selecting wished female

So it went on for some days.

After time sounds returned:
- "Wrap and pack, travel,
-take a tour, go somewhere."

Shared my thoughts, guard wondered:
- "Don't you know of heaven?
-heaven is best place…and no one…"
-took some time to go on, to answer;
-explain: "Heaven is a dream…,
-nobody has ever…no never…
-…cares to leave…to depart."

I was shocked, surprised and frowned:
- "Freedom is heaven not Heaven if…
-…if is walled, is cage, barred…"

Could not love that heaven
-so shouted…and shouted…
-and shouted: "Hell with you…
-…and with your commanders…
-…let me out…I want out…
-…show me way to the hell! "

And woke up with echo of my voice…
-I have been and remain a dervish
-felt deep need for goblet
-with Khayyam and Rumi and Hafez
