When He Spoke Poem by Randy McClave

When He Spoke

When he spoke
He attacked Luis, Jose, Antonio and Juan,
For him his followers were all woke
And they cheered him on.

When he spoke about hate
And how he was the chosen one,
He was going to make the country once again great
They all cheered him on.

When he spoke about racism
Until the very early dawn,
And then when he also talked about leftism
They then cheered him on.

When he spoke from a perch
While using faith and force and brawn,
He was then joined by the church
And they cheered him on.

When he spoke of inferiority
But, he was evil and a sinful con,
Then he spoke of his superiority
They then cheered him on.

When he spoke of rebellion
As democracy he screamed was now all gone,
With racism and bigotry and hate he was yellin'
They cheered him on.

When he talked about his race which is pure
As they stood upon the lawn,
He then became their fūhrer
As they all proudly marched on.
