When Home Deserted Us Poem by Saviour Micheal

When Home Deserted Us

WHEN HOME DESERTED US

you breath blood
in your throat
your neighbors run faster than you
the girl you want to marry
speak fire and called it romance
&
your childhood friend
hold a gun
you have no option
than to run faster
than the country
that tear your passport & identity

I would understand
you need to understand
Because no one choose
to wake up with a syrup of misery
Or
choose something more than journey
when home weave freedom on your skin
IT'S ONLY WHEN HOME DESERTED US
