When I Die/Will I Cry For Myself Poem by Shalom Freedman

When I Die/Will I Cry For Myself

Rating: 3.0

When I die
Will I cry for myself
As I now cry for others
Who have died?
Will I wonder why
Such a unique and special being
Is no longer here?
Will I pray for some other world
In which to meet again
With those I love?
Will I cry and mourn
And wonder why
Such a person had to die?
Will I cry for myself when I die,
As I have already cried and still cry
For too many people I have known
No longer here?
