When, I Gawked Into Your Eyes My Aphrodite Poem by Mark Heathcote

When, I Gawked Into Your Eyes My Aphrodite

Your hearts a rainbow of seven fires
Rising and glowing …
My souls a floating arrow of desire
Finding its mark in a doe-eyed girl, dreaming.

… Sedimentary shooting stars are now cascading.
New worlds are whirling, working it out in the dark …
Soon our two worlds will be colliding again …
Just like they did when I gawked into your eyes.

And saw that lonely moonlit fire on the horizon …
That made my heart for the first time-
Feel instantaneously, Kamikaze on you …
Oh, on you, your hearts rainbow-fire—out reaching out to mine.
Burning kisses on my skin, as I'd already been chard to the bone.

Oh, my souls a floating arrow of desire—again
Oh, your hearts a rainbow of seven fires
Oh, my souls an arrow of desire
Finding its mark in my doe-eyed girl, dreaming of me
Within her heart a rainbow on fire.
