When I Met You Poem by Emelita C. Smith

I never knew what love is?
All I know is love can hurt you so deep
that can make you bleed inside yourself.
I never knew how to love the opposite sex
until I met you.

I can not define what truly love is all about
and when I met you, I still never knew what it is?
But then, you showed me love and care
so that how I get some meaning out if it.

When I am with you, I feel so bliss and joyful.
I slowly feel and know what love is after all.
It's not easy to fall in love when you don't know
how to love.

But then my love, you give me patience and understanding,
you are so thoughtful and caring,
how can I denied the call of loving?
I know then what my heart calling.

I can now define at least one meaning,
Love is wonderful when you truly fall.
Falling in love is easy when it's meant to be.
Falling out of love is hard when you truly love.

Now, I can say...I don't know how to be lonely
All I know is how wonderful to be in love
and be love in return.
Truly love is magical; you only have to believe it.

I thank you my darling for showing me
the meaning of love.
With out you, my world will fall apart.
My heart will go on loving you.
