When I Saw You Poem by Vera Sidhwa

When I Saw You

When I saw you,
I saw your boots,
And shirt and pants,
Your sturdy stride,
Your limited pride,
Your lovely scarf,
Your handsome face,
Your feet about to race,
Your bent of mind,
Your money I saw and could find.

Mostly, I saw your sunshine,
In your heart and soul.
