When I See You - Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

when I see you
your eyes are quite intense
sometimes I get tongue-tied
and forget what to say

When I see you
the rhythm of my heart
begins to beat faster
than the usual pace

When I see you
I helplessly imagine
what it would be like
if we were together

When I see you
I'm intrigued by you,
you are a mystery,
I want to investigate
and discover more about

When I see you
It makes me curious to know
how you feel about me

when I see you
I want to tell you how
I feel about you passionately

Topic(s) of this poem: crush, infatuation
