When I Walk Just To Walk Poem by Shalom Freedman

When I Walk Just To Walk

When I walk just to walk
I do not walk as I do
When I walk to get somewhere
When I walk just to walk
There is a happiness and a freedom
In the walking
There is a pleasure in seeing and thinking
When I walk just to walk
There is life as I want it to be
And a world I enjoy being in.
